hey, it’s nancy
It’s so nice to meet you
I’ve been fascinated with etiquette since my first formal etiquette dinner as an 8th grade student. I love all the different dining utensils and details behind dining etiquette. But, more importantly than teaching students and professionals which fork to use with which dining course, I want to teach students of all ages, at its core, etiquette is about being respectful and considerate of others.
My goal is for students to leave an etiquette class feeling more confident and poised as well as aware of others.
Prior to starting my etiquette business, I have over a decade of corporate marketing experience and have taught etiquette classes from elementary age students through professionals. I hold a Bachelor of Arts degree from Georgetown College.
I love volunteering in my community specifically serving on the Advisory Board for the Carol Barr Fund with the American Heart Association, the Her Knight Dance Board, Rosa Parks Elementary PTA Board, and finance committee for my church. I live in Lexington, Kentucky, with my husband and two children.
so, Why Etiquette
You never get a second chance to make a first impression. You may be the smartest student, however without a social awareness, the chances of being successful are unlikely. A Carnegie Institute of Technology study reported in Forbes magazine, stated one’s financial success is based 85% on your ability to communicate and only 15% on technical knowledge.

Classic Etiquette for the Modern Society
I want students to find etiquette approachable and manageable. Really it’s about being more self-aware and considerate of others to make a positive difference in our world. Yes, some etiquette details have changed over time. But, etiquette basics stand the test of time. Kindness and poise are always well received in our society.
